Nous souhaitons manifester ici notre attente, voire notre espoir, que le débat d’aujourd’hui et les conclusions du Conseil européen de vendredi prochain constituent le pas décisif d’un long et difficile combat contre le terrorisme international, un combat qui doit être considéré, actuellement et tant que la menace subsistera, comme notre première priorité sur le plan de la sécurité européenne, atlantique et mondiale.
We wish to express our expectation and, I would say, our hope, that today’s debate and the conclusions of next Friday’s European Council will be a decisive step forwards in the long and difficult fight against international terrorism. This is a fight that we must see, now and for as long as the threat lasts, as our utmost priority for European, Atlantic and world-wide security.
